Singing lessons in Kristiansand

Do you live in Kristiansand and want to learn to sing, or develop your voice further? With Hata Koca you can take your singing lessons in the studio or online, at times that suit you.

Two ways to take the lessons

In the studio at Markensgate 31 – or online

Hata Koca is a professional singer and vocal teacher with more than 20 years of experience and a Master of Arts in vocal pedagogy and vocal performance. Among other things, she has worked on vocal and stage preparation for The Voice of Albania and X Factor Albania.

When you book, you choose whether to come to the studio or take the lesson online. The label on each lesson type below shows what is possible.

In the studio

The lessons take place in a calm, private studio at Markensgate 31, 4611 Kristiansand. Here Hata can work closely with you on posture, breathing and body.

Online

Do you have a busy week, or are you away? Then you can take the lesson by video instead. You get the same personal follow-up, with exercises and feedback adapted to singing through a screen. You receive the link to the lesson by email.

Who the lessons are for

For children, adults, beginners and advanced singers

Children

Hata also teaches children. The lessons are playful and encouraging, and each lesson is adapted to the student's age, concentration and goals.

Adults

Hata teaches adults at all levels. Many want to sing more freely, get better control of their breathing or feel more confident on stage.

Beginners

You don't need any experience, and you don't need to read music. What you need to know about music theory, you learn gradually and in practice.

Advanced singers

Experienced singers get to work on technique, tone and repertoire – and on preparing for an audition, a recording or a concert.

How a lesson works

One-to-one, at your own pace

All lessons are private, so the whole lesson is about your voice. Hata helps you improve the interplay between breath, body and voice, so that you can sing with more freedom, clarity and expression.

In the lessons you work with the four pillars of Hata's approach – breath, freedom, precision and expression – at the pace that suits you.

The first lesson

  1. 1

You start with a relaxed conversation about your goals and your songs.

  2. 2

Hata listens to your breathing, your vocal range and your tone.

  3. 3

You get your first exercises, chosen for your voice.

  4. 4

Finally, you get a clear suggestion for the way forward.
