Challenge & Opportunity

Does Singing Feel Harder Than Speaking?

Your voice feels pushed

You struggle to find high notes without straining or straining your throat muscles.

Your words lose clarity

Vowels or consonants feel disconnected, and diction suffers under performance pressure.

Your body becomes tense

Unconscious jaw, neck, or shoulder tension restricts your natural vocal resonance.

You do not always need to push harder

"Hata helps you improve the coordination between breath, body and voice so you can sing with more freedom, clarity and expression."

Questions About the Lessons

Where do the lessons take place?

In Hata's studio at Markensgate 31 in Kristiansand, or online. You choose the format that suits you when you book.

Can I start as a complete beginner?

Yes. Hata teaches children, adults, beginners and experienced singers, so you don't need any experience to start.

Can children take lessons?

Yes. Hata teaches children as well as adults, adapting each lesson to the student's age, attention span and goals.

What do I need for an online lesson?

A quiet space and a device with a camera and microphone. Headphones help, but they aren't required.

How often should I have lessons?

Most singers progress best with a regular weekly or bi-weekly rhythm. A single lesson is a good way to start if you're unsure.

How much does a lesson cost?

A paid lesson costs from 300 kr (Vocal Conditioning & Warmup Session, 20 minutes) to 800 kr (Intensive Rehearsal & Audition Prep, 90 minutes). The price depends on the lesson type and length, and you see it before you book.

How long is a lesson?

It depends on the lesson type: you can choose 20, 30, 45 or 90 minutes. You choose the length when you book.

What is the difference between single lessons and packages?

You book a single lesson one at a time. A lesson package gives you several lessons at one total price: 5 lessons of 30 minutes for 2 000 kr; 10 lessons of 30 minutes for 4 000 kr; 20 lessons of 30 minutes for 8 000 kr; 40 lessons of 30 minutes for 15 000 kr. The package lessons are for the Standart Vocal Lesson.
