Hata's Approach

Sing as Naturally as You Speak.

Singing should feel as natural as speaking. We focus on practical habits that help you breathe, move and communicate with clarity and confidence.

Pedagogy Structure

The Four Pillars

Pillar 01

Breath — Develop better breath awareness and learn how to manage breathing between musical phrases.

Build habits that help you breathe, recover and sustain your voice through songs and sets.

Pillar 02

Freedom — Work with body awareness and reduce unnecessary tension, including areas such as shoulders and jaw. Create more freedom for the voice through appropriate exercises.

Release habitual tension and build a more open, comfortable setup for singing.

Pillar 03

Precision — Develop melodic accuracy, rhythmic accuracy, vowels, consonants, diction and clearer articulation.

Improve pitch, rhythm and clarity so your singing feels more reliable and expressive.

Pillar 04

Expression — Move beyond producing correct notes. Work with the meaning of lyrics, message, phrasing, emotion, genre, style, interpretation and authenticity. Help the singer discover an expression appropriate to their own voice.

Connect the story to your voice and develop a performance that feels authentic and engaging.

In Practice

Who the Pillars Help

Hata teaches children and adults, beginners and experienced singers. The four pillars are the same for everyone — but each lesson is adapted to your age, level and goals, with the focus where your voice needs it most.

Breath

For beginners, breath is the first step towards a more confident voice. Experienced singers learn to manage their breath through long phrases and whole songs, without pushing.

Freedom

For anyone who feels tension in the jaw, neck or shoulders while singing. Children and adults alike get exercises adapted to their body and voice.

Precision

For singers who want surer pitch, steadier rhythm and clearer words — from the very first songs to the repertoire you are preparing for a performance.

Expression

For experienced singers and performers preparing for auditions, recordings or the stage — and for anyone who wants to find an expression that suits their own voice.

How a Lesson Works

Lessons are one-to-one, in Hata's studio in Kristiansand or online — you choose the format when you book. Your first lesson starts with a relaxed conversation about your goals and a gentle assessment of your breathing, range and tone. Then you get your first exercises, chosen specifically for your voice, and a clear suggestion for your next steps.
