Hata Koca Vocal Atelier
Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 October 2026
1. Who we are
These terms of service apply to hatakoca.com and to the services of Hata Koca Vocal Atelier, where Hata Koca, professional singer and vocal educator, teaches. The website and the services are operated by Kodnet AS (organisation number 924712368), Markensgate 31, 4611 Kristiansand, Norway ("we", "us"). You can reach us at training@hatakoca.com.
By creating an account, booking a lesson or sending us a request through the website, you accept these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
2. Our services
- Private singing lessons, one-to-one, either in person at the studio or online by video call. Lesson types, lengths, formats and prices are shown on the booking page before you book.
- Programs, events and free offers, such as Sing Like a Pro in 30 Days, workshops, masterclasses, singing circles and the free breathing course, as described on their pages. Some of them start with an application or registration; Hata confirms your place personally.
- Performances and workshops for events (Hire Hata), which are agreed individually in writing.
- Lesson packages and credits are not sold online yet. When they are, the number of lessons, the price and any period within which the lessons must be used will be shown before you buy, and only what was stated at purchase applies. Credits never expire unless a validity period was stated at purchase.
Lessons are education in singing and vocal technique. They are not medical treatment or therapy.
3. Your account
- Give correct information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should create the account and make the bookings.
- We may suspend or close an account that is used to misuse the website or our services.
4. Booking lessons
- Lessons can be booked up to 8 weeks ahead and no later than 12 hours before the lesson starts.
- The times shown are live. A time is yours only once the booking is confirmed on screen with a booking code; if someone books the same time a moment earlier, you are asked to choose another one.
- If you book for a child or another person, you confirm that you may do so on their behalf. For students under 18, a parent or guardian makes the booking and is responsible for it. We ask for the student's name and age.
- For online lessons, the video link is sent to you by email before the lesson.
- Please add anything Hata should know before the lesson (goals, experience, songs you are preparing) in the booking message or by email.
5. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown on the booking page in the currency you pay in. Payment is always taken in the currency stated at checkout. Prices are without VAT: teaching is exempt from VAT in Norway (the education exemption in the Norwegian VAT Act, merverdiavgiftsloven § 3-5), so no VAT is added.
- You pay online when you book: by card through Stripe in a secure payment form on this website (your card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored by us), or with Vipps where it is offered. The time (or package, or ticket) is held for you while you pay and is confirmed once the payment is completed; if the payment is not completed in time, the hold is released.
- If online payment is not available for a booking, Hata agrees the payment with you directly and the booking shows as "pending" until the payment is confirmed.
- The payment provider's own terms also apply to the payment. You receive a receipt (invoice) by email.
- If we cancel a lesson, you can choose a new time or a full refund of anything you have paid for that lesson.
6. Rescheduling and cancelling
- By you: please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. Email training@hatakoca.com with your booking code, or use "Request a New Time" / "Request Cancellation" in your account. With at least 24 hours' notice, you can move or cancel the lesson free of charge.
- Late cancellation: if you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or do not come to the lesson, the payment for the lesson is kept and not refunded.
- By us: if Hata has to cancel or move a lesson (for example because of illness), she contacts you as soon as possible and offers a new time or a refund as described above.
- Right of withdrawal (angrerett): if you are a consumer and book through the website, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Norwegian Cancellation Act (angrerettloven). If you ask for a lesson to take place within those 14 days and the lesson has been given, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to that lesson. If you withdraw after a service has started at your request, you may have to pay for the part already provided.
7. Online lessons
- Online lessons take place by video call. You are responsible for a working internet connection, camera and microphone, and for a quiet space.
- If a lesson cannot take place because of a technical problem on our side, we offer a new time.
- Lessons are not recorded unless both you and Hata agree first.
8. Your voice, health and results
- Singing is physical work. If you feel pain, have hoarseness that does not go away or have another health concern, stop and see a doctor, and tell Hata about anything that may affect your lessons.
- Progress depends on many things, including your practice. We do not guarantee specific results, such as passing an audition, winning a competition or reaching a particular level by a certain date.
9. Respectful behaviour and our right to refuse service
We expect respectful behaviour from students, parents and guests, in lessons, at events and in messages. We may refuse a booking, or end an agreement, if someone behaves abusively, repeatedly misses lessons without notice, or misuses the website. Lessons that have been paid for but not given because of this are refunded, minus any lesson already started.
10. Content and intellectual property
Texts, photos, videos, exercises, audio guidance and practice material on the website and in lessons belong to Hata Koca or are used with permission. You may use lesson materials for your own practice, but not copy, share, sell or publish them without written permission. Recordings you send to Hata for feedback remain yours; she uses them only to give you feedback.
11. Testimonials
We only publish a testimonial (your name as you want it shown, your words and any video) with your permission. You can withdraw your permission at any time by emailing training@hatakoca.com, and we will remove the testimonial from the website without undue delay. Videos may be hosted by Bunny Stream, YouTube or Vimeo.
12. Liability
We are responsible for giving the lessons and services you book with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by circumstances outside our control (for example failures of third-party services such as video platforms or internet providers). We work to keep the website available and correct, but cannot guarantee that it is always free of errors or interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under Norwegian law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. We announce important changes on this page, and by email to account holders where possible, before they take effect. A booking follows the terms that applied when it was made.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to solve it. As a consumer you can also contact the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet, forbrukerradet.no) for help and mediation. Disputes that cannot be resolved are decided by the Norwegian courts, without limiting your rights as a consumer.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms: training@hatakoca.com, or by post to Kodnet AS, Markensgate 31, 4611 Kristiansand, Norway.
